Who For?
Children aged between 5 and 13 (Reception
to Year 8)
Led by? A Team of Fully Qualified PE Teachers.
What is it?
A Week Long Course of Playing, Coaching
and Competition in a full Range of Sports.
How Much?
£15 a day - including Snack &
Drinks - (This works out at £3 an Hour!!)
Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Curling, Dance, Fitness, Football,
Hockey, Netball, Rounders, Orienteering, Treasure Hunts, Assault
Course, Special Events, Tag Rugby, Tennis. Team Building, Certificates,
Prizes etc
Plus - this year applicable pupils can gain the British Sports Trust
‘Young Leaders Award’.
A Nationally Recognised Sports Leadership Qualification
The 'Sports Extravaganza’ is
a week long course of sports action in a wide range of activities.
Participants can attend all week or just one day (it’s up
to you) but are guaranteed a good taste of a variety of sports.
The courses are managed by an experienced Head of PE and led by
a team of school PE teachers.
No unqualified students, coaches or instructors!
(Unlike many other similar schemes!).
All workers on the scheme have up to date CRB clearance and the
course is fully covered with Insurance provided by the Association
for Physical Education (AfPE).
The ‘Sports Extravaganza’ has been checked and approved
by Southend Council’s Department of Children & Leaning
who commented during a visit last summer…
“if only they (activity clubs) were all like this”
Participants will receive quality coaching but delivered in fun,
games like, environment. There will be the opportunity to test new
found skills in regular competitions and events. All participants
will receive a Certificate of Attendance and the opportunity to
win prizes, medals and further certificates of excellence. Collector
Stickers for all activities participated in plus merits which can
earn prizes!
Parents - be rest assured that your child will be having an excellent
beginning to the School Holidays in a safe, secure and fun environment!
If you would like your child/children to take part please complete
the booking form (online or print off and send) completing all information.
If booking online you will be contacted with confirmation and a
request for a £5 deposit for each day booked. If sending a
booking form please also enclose a £5 deposit for each day
booked (Cheques made payable to S. Orton). You will be sent confirmation
upon receipt!
You can book for as many children as possible but you do
not need to pay a deposit for additional children!
