for Sports Leadership Students JSLA/CSLA/HSLA |
| Many
of our courses can be attended by Students on Sports Leadership Courses,
such as the JSLA CSLA, HSLA, (although most courses have a minimum
age of 16) and serve as an ideal medium to improving student’s
knowledge and skills as well as meeting Leadership course objectives.
As you may be aware every successful sports leader who is 16 years
of age or over now qualifies to be referred to two of their preferred
National Governing Bodies. This is predominately seen as an ideal
opportunity for an enthusiastic trained sports leader to continue
to volunteer in sport by taking coaching qualifications in their favourite
sports. Attendance of our courses could help meet this objective as students could, cost effectively, build up an impressive portfolio of qualifications in the sport/s of their choice. In addition Geenlight Education and Training can arrange delivery of many of the JSLA/CSLA Bolt-on courses that now supplement the leadership awards. Schools can either arrange for students to attend local venues or we can come into schools and deliver courses to full cohorts of students. Naturally all our staff delivering these courses are qualified teachers with up to date CRB clearance. We specialise in arranging sports courses for practising PE teachers, Primary PE Specialists, Trainee Teachers and for any other adults involved in delivering school sport – either in the curriculum or as an out of hours club. Many of our courses come under the ‘Coaching For Teachers (CFT)’ remit which means they are particularly designed for, and relevant for teachers delivering activities to normal class sized groups. Our courses and qualifications are an ideal way of gaining subject knowledge in activities that staff may be unconfident in, or indeed as a way of refreshing and updating existing skills and expertise. They are meaningful and National Governing Body recognised qualifications and as well as adding to teachers knowledge will also enhance CV’s and help meet Performance Management targets. A major advantage of our courses is the cost. Because we do not book expensive hotels and provide you with unnecessary 3 course lunches we are able to keep fees to a minimum. You can attend 3 or 4 of our courses for the cost of attending just one course organised by some other training providers.
